The Rapid Application Tether (RAT) was designed to efficiently: 
 
- Provide stability and retention for helmet mounted night vision devices
- Mount push-to-talks and other equipment to Velcro surfaces
- Mount tourniquets to Velcro and Velcro compatible surfaces
- Secure helmet mounted battery packs
 
The RAT is backed with hook Velcro and will come with 32" of shock cord and a cord lock for adjustment.
